SBI Investment Expands IPO Results Through Follow-on Investments… Nearthlab, Innotech, Rznomics and Others Bear Fruit
- SBI Investment is expanding its IPO track record through its ‘follow-on’ investment strategy of continuing to provide additional capital to promising portfolio companies after its initial investment.
- SBI Investment invested three times in AI autonomous drone company Nearthlab, across its Series B, Series C and pre-IPO rounds, helping it pass the KOSDAQ preliminary listing review. For Innotech, a maker of inspection equipment for foldable displays and automotive OLEDs, SBI Investment made an early Series A investment and then led the Series B, and the company has since completed its KOSDAQ listing.
- Rznomics, a developer of RNA-based gene therapies in which SBI Investment invested at the Series A stage in 2019, successfully licensed its technology to a global big pharma company and listed on KOSDAQ last December. SBI Investment said, “Follow-on investment is not simply supplying additional funds, but a process of continuously verifying a company's technology, execution capability and market scalability.”
