Building on some 170 patents, it continues to collaborate with Google, Apple and Microsoft. Under an MOU signed with Google Asia Pacific last October, it supplies the Dot Pad integrated with the Google for Education platform together with Chromebooks, and is also preparing a feature that instantly converts graphs created by the generative AI Gemini into tactile form.<\/li>\n<li>Dot&#039;s revenue grew from KRW 1.4 billion in 2021 to KRW 15 billion last year, and it is targeting KRW 25\u201330 billion this year. Revenue rests on two pillars: tactile devices (with a 4:6 split between sales of its own devices and technology supplied to overseas customers) and barrier-free kiosks installed at locations such as Busan subway stations, SRT stations and the National Museum of Korea. The company is also working with LG Electronics to bring its kiosks to North America.<\/li>\n<li>Noting that acquired blindness accounts for 80% of all visual impairment, Dot is jointly researching rehabilitation curricula and therapies with the Blinded Veterans Association (BVA), whose membership includes 130,000 visually impaired U.S. veterans. Its robotics business, which applies ultra-compact actuators to tactile sensing in robotic hands and remote operation of surgical robots, aims to complete proofs of concept (PoC) this year and begin generating revenue next year.
