SBI Investment Portfolio Company Aijinet Turns a Profit with First-Half Operating Profit of KRW 1.7 Billion… Record Revenue

SBI Investment portfolio company Aijinet, an insurance platform, recorded first-half revenue of KRW 17.94 billion this year, up 17.1% from KRW 15.32 billion a year earlier and its best-ever half-year result. Operating profit swung to KRW 1.74 billion from a loss of KRW 100 million in the same period last year.
Second-quarter revenue rose 5.5% quarter on quarter to KRW 9.21 billion, and the operating margin improved from 7.3% in the first quarter to 12.0% in the second, showing a clear trend of improving profitability. B2B platform revenue grew 46% year on year.
As regulatory changes in insurance distribution shift the basis of competition from capital to data, Aijinet plans to sustain its growth by expanding its MyData business.
