SBI Investment Portfolio Company SpoonLabs Pursues 2028 IPO… Begins Selecting Underwriters
- SpoonLabs, an SBI Investment portfolio company that operates the audio social platform ‘Spoon’ and the short-form drama platform ‘Vigloo,’ has formally begun its listing process by sending requests for proposal (RFPs) to major Korean securities firms, with the aim of listing on KOSDAQ in 2028.
- SpoonLabs' operating revenue for the first half of this year rose about 78% year on year to KRW 57.5 billion. As of August 12, its year-to-date revenue had already exceeded last year's full-year total, and overseas sales account for more than 60% of revenue at both Spoon and Vigloo.
- As the company expands its business with a series of new services, including Vigloo Partners, Vigloo Studio and Podnovel, its IPO preparations are expected to gain momentum once underwriter selection is completed in the third quarter of this year.
