SBI Investment Portfolio Company Nearthlab Passes KOSDAQ Preliminary Listing Review… IPO Imminent
- Nearthlab, an AI-powered autonomous drone company in which SBI Investment invested at an early stage, has passed the KOSDAQ preliminary listing review, bringing its IPO within reach. SBI Investment has invested a cumulative total of more than KRW 65 billion in Nearthlab.
- After building a global track record with its wind turbine inspection solutions, Nearthlab has expanded into defense products such as direct-impact interceptor drones and swarm loitering munitions, and is collaborating with LIG Defense.
- The listing is regarded as a successful outcome of the early-stage deep tech investment strategy of SBI Investment, which manages approximately KRW 1.5 trillion in assets and has backed more than 220 companies through to IPO.
